Delhi's fashion designing student raped by uncle

A 19-year-old fashion designing student was raped by her uncle here, police said Wednesday.

The incident took place at the Gymkhana Club in central Delhi's Chanakyapuri area Feb 13.

According to the police complaint lodged Feb 19, the student said her uncle Sandeep Kohli, who lives in Lucknow and is a professional photographer, came to Delhi for some professional work.

He called her to meet at the Gymkhana Club, where he raped her and also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anybody about the assault, the complaint said.

Police said a case has been registered and a police team sent to Lucknow to nab the accused.
