Delhi's peak power demand hits all-time high

The peak power demand of Delhi broke all previous records to hit an all-time high of 6651 MW on Friday, said discom BSES.

The peak power demand touched 6,651 MW at 3.36 p.m. on Friday, BSES said in a statement, adding that in 2017, the peak power demand was at 6,526 MW.

The power distributor also said that the peak demand this year may breach 7,000 MW.

In 2018, the peak power demand had already crossed 6,000 MW eight times, against twice in 2017, according to BSES.
