Singer Demi Lovato was slammed by her fans on social media after she got upset and complained about how her breasts were drawn in a fan-made image.
Over the summer, a 17-year-old fan of Lovato, named Vladimir Serbanescu from Romania, shared online a photograph of her as a topless mermaid.
The black-and-white photograph, inspired by one of the images she shared on Instagram upon the release of her single "Body say", was unnoticed for months before it resurfaced over the weekend due to Lovato's harsh opinion on it.
The 24-year-old, who's been vocal about her body image, was particularly not happy with how her breasts were drawn, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Is that how my b***s should look? It's gorgeous but that's not my body," Lovato wrote on Instagram.
After finding out about the comment, Serbanescu took a screen shot of it and posted it on Instagram along with the image. In the caption, he explained why he made Lovato's breasts look bigger and expressed disappointment over her complaint.
"If I make your waist slimmer and your b***s bigger to accentuate the fact that I drew you as a mermaid, a mythological creature, doesn't mean I say that you should look like that or all girls should look like that," Serbanescu wrote.
"That's how I imagine mermaids. I worked a lot on that drawing and I was proud of it, but not anymore. Lovato," Serbanescu added.
Serbanescu wasn't the only one left upset by Lovato's criticism. A lot of other fans took to social media to call her out for being too harsh.
