West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday dubbed demonetisation as a "setback" for commoners and workers and said crores of people have become victims of the "visionless policy".
"Demonetisation is a major setback for commoners and a maximum setback for workers... Crores of people have become victims of a visionless policy," Banerjee said on Twitter.
Banerjee, also the Trinamool Congress supremo, has been on the warpath against the Narendra Modi-led central government over the issue of demonetisation.
She has demanded a rollback of the move, asserting that as many as 95 persons have died following the November 8 move to demonetise Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.
