Deportivo La Coruna assured their return to the Spanish BBVA Primera Liga thanks to a 1-0 win at home to Jaen.
A goal from veteran defender, Carlos Marchena after 29 minutes Saturday, gave Deportivo, who won the league in the 1999-2000 season, a victory which sees the side from the north-west of Spain return to the top flight after just one season in the second division, reports Xinhua.
Meanwhile, with just one game left to play, the four play-off places are still up for grabs, while eight sides are still in battle to avoid relegation.
