Timely detection of an improvised explosive device by the security forces on Saturday averted a major tragedy on the busy Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway.
"A road opening party (ROP) of the security forces detected an IED planted under a culvert on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad highway in Lawaypora area of Srinagar district on Saturday," a senior police official told IANS.
