Development is the answer to all woes and problems facing Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday.
"The state is afflicted with the evils of favouritism, casteism and communalism. There is a solution to every problem and that solution is development," Modi said while addressing a huge crowd after the Bharatiya Janata Party's two-day National Executive meet here.
Targetting the Samajwadi Party government in Uttar Pradesh over "goonda raj" (lawlessness), Modi said the secret to success was to adopt 'vikasvaad' (development) and reject 'jativaad' (casteism) and 'bhai-bhatijavaad' (nepotism).
"To make the yajna of development successful, one must sacrifice arrogance, casteism, communalism and self-interest," Modi said.
