India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who returned to the side after a hamstring injury, won the toss and elected to field against Sri Lanka in the Tri-Nation Series cricket final at the Queen's Park Oval here Thursday.
Dhoni got injured in the first match of the ODI series June 30 against the West Indies and did not play the next three matches. Virat Kohli led the India squad during Dhoni's absence.
