Indian skipper and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni Saturday set a record for the most number of stumpings in international cricket on day two of the third Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cericket Ground (MCG) here.
He overtook Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara when he stumped Mitchell Johnson off the bowling of off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, reaching 134 dismissals.
He reached the landmark in his 460th innings while Sangakkara has 133 stumpings from 485 innings.
Sri Lanka's other keeper Romesh Kaluwitharana is third on the list with 101 stumpings from 270 innings.
