The AAP Monday told Lt Governor Najeeb Jung to dissolve the Delhi assembly and hold fresh elections.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia told reporters that Jung told him that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress too favoured fresh polls.

"Our stand is what it was eight months ago. We told him we want the Delhi assembly to be dissolved," Sisodia told after meeting Jung.

Earlier Monday, Jung invited all the parties to discuss the possibility of government formation in Delhi, which has been under President's rule since February 17.
