Eight-time German football champions Borussia Dortmund have announced that midfielder Oliver Kirch has switched to second division club SC Paderborn.
"I want to give a big thank you to everyone, the fans, all the Dortmund staff and especially my teammates. I have had three incredible years with many ups and downs," Kirch said in a statement.
The 33-year-old transferred from FC Kaiserslautern to Dortmund in 2012 and took part in 24 Bundesliga matches and six European Champions league matches.
"His performance in the quarter-final second leg of the 2014 Champions League against eventual champions Real Madrid in (2-0) will not be forgotten," Dortmund said.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: "We thank Oliver for his commitment and wish him all the best for his future."
