Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia said Friday that draft of the Jan Lokpal bill is almost ready while the Swaraj bill, which aims at decentralising power, has been discussed in the cabinet.
"The drafts are almost ready, with the draft of the Jan Lokpal bill in its last stage. It has now been sent to the chief minister," he told media persons here.
"Now only a cabinet discussion remains," he added.
The draft Swaraj bill has been discussed in the cabinet, said Sisodia.
Swaraj or self-governance was one of the key points of the Aam Aadmi Party's manifesto for the Delhi assembly elections.
The proposed legislation talks about establishing "mohalla sabhas (community councils)" which, the party believes, will ensure people's participation in the decision-making process.
