Schalke midfielder Julian Draxler has extended his contract until June 2018, the football club said.
The 19-year-old's previous contract was valid until 2016, reports Xinhua.
"We are pleased that Julian is committed to Schalke and extended his contract for another two years," Schalke's manager Horst Heldt said on the clubs official homepage.
Draxler joined the youth team of Schalke in 2001 to become the second youngest player to ever start a Bundesliga match.
"The team and the club are heading in the right direction and I want to be a part of it," Draxler said.
Draxler made his debut for the German national squad in May 2012.
