The admission process for bachelor of honours in management studies (BMS) in Delhi University will begin June 7, a varsity official said Wednesday.
The admission process will be held online June 7-18 by the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS).
The forms will cost Rs.500 for general, other backward classes and children of war widows (CW) candidates while it is Rs.250 for scheduled caste/scheduled tribe and disabled candidates.
This is the only course of DU undergraduate programme for which an entrance test is being conducted. The test will be held on June 26 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. while the admit card will be delivered to the candidates through email between June 20-22.
However, instead of an interview, there would be counselling.
"On July 4, the results will be declared and list of candidates selected for first counselling will be put up by 5 p.m.," the university official said.
The first counselling will be held on July 6 and two days time will be given to the students to take admission.
FMS will then notify the students of vacant seats, and hold further counselling sessions if required.
For instance for the first counselling, qualified students will have to take admission on July 7 and 8 between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the respective colleges.
Then on July 8 at 5 p.m., the status of vacant seats will be made clear by the faculty. Other counselling sessions have been scheduled for July 10, 13 and 17 respectively.
The course will commence July 21.
The BMS course was introduced in the last academic year and is offered in Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, College of Vocational Studies, Deen Dyal Upadhaya College, Keshav Mahavidalaya, Maharaja Agrasen College and Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies.
In total, there are 840 seats for the course in these six colleges.
