Moses, brother of Dylan Farrow who has accused her director father Woody Allen of sexually abusing her when she was seven, claims their mother has created the web of lies.

"My mother drummed it into me to hate my father for tearing apart the family and sexually molesting my sister," people.com quoted Allen's adopted son Moses as saying.

"And I hated him for her for years," he added.

Moses now believes his mother, actress Mia Farrow, was looking for revenge after learning of Allen's affair with her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn, whom Allen went on to marry in 1997.

"I see now that this was a vengeful way to pay him back for falling in love with Soon-Yi," he said.

"Woody did not molest my sister. The day in question, there were six or seven of us in the house. We were all in public rooms and no one, not my father or sister, was off in any private spaces. My mother was conveniently out shopping.

"I don't know if my sister really believes she was molested or is trying to please her mother. Pleasing my mother was very powerful motivation because to be on her wrong side was horrible," Moses added.

Mia, who declined to respond to Moses's accusations, tweeted: "I love my daughter. I will always protect her. A lot of ugliness is going to be aimed at me. But this is not about me, it's about her truth."

According to Dylan's claims in the letter, when she was seven Allen took her to a "closet-like attic" in their home and sexually abused her. She then reported the issue to her mother, which resulted in Allen and Mia splitting up as a couple in 1992.

Allen has no plans to take anyone to court over the renewed accusations but is devastated by his daughter's open letter.

"Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful," a representative of the 78-year-old had said.
