Ukraine's Dynamo Kiev reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League football tournament, beating England's Everton 5-2 here in the second leg, to advance with a 6-4 aggregate result.
The Olympic stadium here on Thursday drew a sell-out crowd of 67,553 fans representing a new Europa League record, reports Xinhua.
The massive crowd gave the match a thrilling atmosphere and inspired the team from Kiev to victory.
Dynamo opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a strike by winger Andriy Yarmolenko, but Everton striker Romelu Lukaku equalised eight minutes later.
Shortly afterwards, forward Lukasz Teodorczyk put the hosts 2-1 up and midfielder Miguel Veloso made it 3-1 in the 37th minute with a powerful shot into the top left corner.
The other two goals of Dynamo were scored by winger Oleg Gusev on 56 minutes and striker Vitorino Antunes at the 76th minute.
Midfielder Phil Jagielka reduced Dynamo's advantage in the 82nd minute with a header.
