Ecuadorian Football Federation (EFF) announced the departure of Sixto Vizuete as the head coach of the national team before they start their America Cup campaign in June.
Vizuete, former Under-17 and U-20 coach, replaced Reinaldo Rueda just after last year's World Cup in Brazil, reports Xinhua.
"We are looking for candidates. I will not give any names. We will just make some contacts and announce our next coach in the next 30 days," said EFF president Luis Chiriboga, claiming that he has opted to find an alternative for the team.
Ecuador will open their America Cup June 11 when they face hosts Chile at Santiago's National Station with Mexico and Bolivia, also in Group A.
