British actor and comedian Eddie Izzard will perform live in India for the first time with his comedy show Force Majeure.
The two-time Emmy winning actor will be in India on a three-city tour from Sunday. He will perform in Mumbai on Sunday, in Bengaluru on Monday and Delhi on Tuesday, read a statement.
Izzard's most extensive comedy tour ever, Force Majeure, began its journey around the globe during spring 2013 from Cardiff to Cape Town and Moscow to Montreal covering 30 countries across Europe, Africa, the US, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and now Nepal and the Far East.
Mick Perrin Worldwide and Adrian Bohm will present Force Majeure in India in partnership with Only Much Louder (OML).
Vijay Nair, CEO, Only Much Louder, said: "We're super excited to bring Eddie Izzard to India. He is one of Britain's most successful stand-up comedians, and performs to sold-out venues around the world. I am personally a big fan of his comedy and look forward to bringing him live to his fans in India too."
Izzard's early career began in 1983 as a street performer in London's Covent Garden. He took to the West End stage in 1993, with his stand-up debut show "Live At The Ambassadors".
His film work includes "Valkyrie", alongside Tom Cruise and "Ocean's Twelve" and "Thirteen" opposite Brad Pitt and George Clooney.
He has also appeared in "Treasure Island" and in "The Riches". He will soon be seen in "Victoria and Abdul", also starring Ali Fazal and Judi Dench.
