Eight people were killed Thursday when their vehicle skidded off the road in Ramban district of Jammu region, an official said.
"Eight passengers died in the road accident at Nachalana Khari in Banihal when a Tata Sumo taxi went out of the driver's control and skidded off the road," a police official told IANS here.
The officer said the driver of the vehicle had fled from the accident spot.
