New Delhi, April 26 (IANS) In yet another shocking incident of rape in the national capital, a man has been arrested for repeatedly raping his eight-year-old daughter, police said Friday.
According to police, the accused, 46, works as a welder and lived in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar area. He had been sexually and physically assaulting his daughter for over two months. She was also denied regular meals during this period.
The incident came in to light Thursday when the girl told her neighbour about the sexual assault, who informed police. The accused was arrested.
The girl's mother had been arrested a few months ago in connection with a sex racket case, police said.
The girl is the eldest among the three children of the couple.
