Vatican City, May 9 (IANS/AKI) Good Christians never complain but joyfully tolerate pain, like their saviour Jesus Christ did during his crucifixion, Pope Francis has said.
"Christians are called upon to endure uncomplainingly and peacefully, like Jesus did," Francis said.
"We ask the lord to enable us Christians for the endurance with gives use peace, to do so joyfully in our hearts... this fortitude renews our youth and makes us younger," he said.
In a tweet, Francis wrote: "Do not be content to live a mediocre Christian life: walk with determination along the path of holiness."
"Christians should examine their consciences each day of their lives to see how God had guided them," he said in another tweet.
The Pope has over six million followers on microblogging website Twitter, where his tweets from his @Pontifex account are published in nine languages.
