Delhi's private power distribution company BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) Thursday signed a pact with French energy major Schneider Electric to help consumers reduce power consumption by 30 percent through energy audits.
"Schneider, as a technical partner, will study the electricity load, load profile, power factor of a consumer and suggest efficient energy utilisation," said a statement from BRPL.
Initially, energy intensive consumers like industries, hotels, malls, hospitals and commercial buildings will be targeted.
"By deploying these energy efficiency solutions, consumers can reduce their energy bills anywhere between 10-30 percent, without compromising on any of their energy needs," the statement added.
"The company has formed a partnership with Schneider Electric, one of the world's leading energy firms headquartered in France. This association will take BRPL' energy conservation drive to a new level," said BRPL CEO Gopal Saxena.
