Actor-cum-doctor Rajasekar, who was treating producer D. Ramanaidu for the last few months using Palliative care and alternative therapy, said it was the veteran's family support that gave him the strength to survive.

Ramanaidu breathed his last Wednesday in Hyderabad.

"The love and support of Ramanaidu's family kept him alive for so many years. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer 13 years ago and since then has been undergoing treatment. His family's support strengthened his will to carry on surviving," Rajasekar told IANS.

"Since November 2014, I've treating him with Palliative care and alternative therapy. I spent more time with him in the last few months and was there with him till the last moment with his family. His demise is a huge lost to the industry," he added.

A visionary producer, he was known for producing maximum number of films in as many as 13 Indian languages.

Some of his other popular Telugu films include "Prem Nagar", "Jeevana Tarangalu", "Soggadu", "Kaliyuga Pandavulu", "Coolie No 1" and "Ganesh".

In Hindi, he produced films such as "Prem Nagar", "Dildaar", "Maqsad", "Insaaf", "Tohfa", "Anari" and "Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain".

He had also produced films in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya, Punjabi, Marathi, Konkani and English.
