Online recruitment activities rose 16 per cent year-on-year (Y-o-Y) during February, a Monster.com report said on Wednesday.
The report said the home appliances sector continued to lead the long-term growth chart with 71 per cent increase.
"Among industry sectors, home appliance industry (up 59 per cent) registered the steepest growth on an annual basis for the eight months in succession," the report said, however, adding that, the year-on-year growth momentum in the sector slowed in the past three months.
Online recruitment in production and manufacturing industry matched the growth rate in the home appliance sector and rose 59 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
The year-on-year growth rate in information technology - hardware, software - was 22 per cent and online recruitment in telecom sector was up 49 per cent in February over the same period last year.
However in the BPO and information technology-enabled serives recruitment growth slowed down by 24 per cent sector.
"Online demand in retail (up 13 per cent) sector picked up this month," the report said.
"While banking, financial services and insurance (up 34 per cent) remained one of the strongest sectors by the way of long-term growth, the rate of growth moderated further between January (36 per cent) and February. Month-on-month, there was no increase in e-recruitment activity in the sector," it said.
