Mumbai FC slumped to a second consecutive defeat, going down 1-2 to Salgaocar FC in their Group B clash of the Federation Cup at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here Saturday.
Defender Matthew Foschini (12th minute) gave Salgaocar the lead before striker N.P. Pradeep (46th) equalised.
However, a penalty conversion by Gilbert Olivera (74th) handed the Goans three points.
Both teams were down to 10 men in the final stages of the match after Rohit Mirza (MFC) and Clifton Dias (Salgaocar) were sent off after receiving two bookings.
The loss also ended Mumbai FC's hopes of progressing into the next stage.
