Hosts Brazil will play their 2016 Olympic football men's group matches in the cities of Brasilia and Salvador, football's governing body FIFA has said.
The tournament will kick off in Brasilia on August 4 with the gold medal match to be played at Rio's Maracana stadium on August 20, FIFA said on Tuesday, reports Xinhua.
The women's competition will begin in Rio de Janeiro on August 3 and also culminate at the Maracana stadium on August 19.
Other host cities for the men's and women's draws are Belo Horizonte, Manaus and Sao Paulo.
Nine teams have already confirmed their places for the 16-team men's tournament: Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Fiji, Mexico and Honduras.
Six teams are already guaranteed a spot in the women's competition: Brazil, Colombia, Germany, France, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
