A major fire gutted the ground floor and basement of a fabric manufacturing unit here on Monday, a fire officer said.
One dozen fire tenders were pressed into service after a fire broke out at Rolex Hosiery Pvt. Ltd. in Sector 35 near Begumpur Khotala village in the morning, Chief Fire Officer I.S. Kashyap told IANS.
Fireman Devender Singh received minor burn injuries and was discharged from hospital after treatment.
The flames were controlled after more than two hours. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
