Firemen were still trying to douse a fire that broke out in the stock yard of Coca Cola company here in Udyog Vihar a day before, an official said Wednesday.
The fire broke out Tuesday around 8 a.m. in the yard.
"Eighteen fire fighter tenders were pressed into the service to control the blaze. By the Wednesday morning it was controlled but six fire tenders and 40 firemen were trying to douse it completely even after 22 hours of the incident," fire officer Birbal Sharma told IANS.
"The shed... that caught fire, was used as Coca Cola store. Lakhs of crates carrying soft drink bottles were stored there," he said.
As the crates were made of plastic it was very hard to douse the fire completely, he added.
The cause of fire was not clear yet. No one was killed or injured in the accident. Estimated loss due to the fire was yet to calculated by the company, officials said.
