Five-year-old succumbs to swine flu in Delhi

A five-year-old girl Alisha suffering from swine flu succumbed to the disease in the national capital, taking the toll to 10 this year, an official said Thursday.

According to the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Alisha died Feb 13 at Hindu Rao hospital in the city.

"The death happened much before, however, it was reported today (Feb 26)," said an official of the DHS.

The DHS also said that 137 new cases of swine flu were found positive Thursday.

With this, the total number of swine flu cases this year has reached 2,708.
