Rock band Foo Fighters thrilled their South African fans by announcing they will perform in the country for the first time in their 20-year career.
The "Everlong" hitmakers will play in Cape Town Dec 10, followed by Johannesburg Dec 13, reports contactmusic.com.
In a video uploaded on Twitter.com, frontman Dave Grohl said: "Hey South Africa, my name's Dave. I play in a band called the Foo Fighters. We've never met, so we're coming down to see you in December.
"Got a new record to pay for you too. Guess what? It's going to be a long f***ing night."
The band's eighth album "Lanterns" is expected to release later this year.
