Four people were arrested for injuring three students of Delhi University's Kirori Mal College after a clash between two groups over college election, police said Tuesday.
"The incident took place around 8 p.m. Monday when Jaswinder Chauhan, a candidate for the president's post in the Delhi University Students' Union polls, was asked to withdraw his candidature," Deputy Commissioner of Police Sindhu Pillai told IANS.
She added Chauhan and two of his friends, Priyam and Mani, suffered injuries.
They were discharged Tuesday morning after receiving treatment at the Hindu Rao Hospital.
Police refused to reveal the names of the four arrested people.
