Four people died when they were struck by lightning in West Bengal's Bankura district on Tuesday, police said.
The victims, all residents of Hodol village, were declared dead in the Patrasayar Block Primary Health Centre where they were taken.
"Three of the dead were men and the other woman," an officer of the Patrasayar police station told IANS over phone.
Locals said the men were farmers who were working in the field. The woman had gone to the field to graze the cattle.
According to the locals, two other injured were being treated in the primary health centre.
