Four employees of the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) were arrested for demanding a bribe in lieu of clearing pending bills of water tanker owners, an official said on Friday.
Qamar Raza, Ramesh Chand and Harish Sharma posted at the DJB office in Rohini along with Umesh Sharma posted in the DJB's Moti Nagar office were arrested by the Delhi government's anti-corruption branch on a complaint.
"A complaint was received wherein it was alleged that the (arrested) employees had demanded a bribe in lieu of clearing pending bills of owners of water tankers used by the DJB to supply water to villages and colonies in Delhi.
"The complainant had caught the four employees demanding and accepting the bribe on camera," a statement said.
