Four guerrillas were killed Saturday in Keran sector on the Line of Control (LoC) in Kashmir's Kupwara district even as army operations against a large group of heavily armed intruders entered the 12th day.
"Four terrorists were killed by the army in Fateh Gali area of Keran sector today (Saturday) where another infiltration bid by a group of terrorists was foiled," said a defence spokesman.
"We have recovered six AK-47 rifles from the slain terrorists. A search in the area is still on. The area is 25 km away from Shalla Battu where we are carrying out the operation against the group of terrorists. the spokesman added.
"The operation is still on. Further details would follow," he added.
On Friday, the army killed three guerrillas in the same sector of the LoC.
