Four held for gang rape in Gurgaon

Four men were arrested here Sunday for gang-raping a 45-year-old widow, police said.

Krishan Kumar, Balwant Singh, Dharmender and Pawan Kumar were arrested for gang-raping a woman from a Gurgaon village. Another accused Ricky is yet to be arrested.

All the accused are aged between 30 and 35 years, and hail from Khod village near Pataudi in Haryana.

"Krishan Kumar called the woman Saturday for showing her a plot in Pataudi," police official Ranbir Singh Yadav told IANS.

The official also said that Krishan Kumar is a part-time property dealer, who was in contact with the victim for the last few months.

"Instead of taking her to the plot, Krishan Kumar took her to some other place near a tube-well, called his four friends and gang raped her from Saturday afternoon to late evening," Yadav said.

The victim was abandoned near the Delhi-Jaipur highway.

"All the four arrested were presented before Judicial Magistrate Tarun Singhal on Sunday and sent to judicial custody," he added.
