Four Manipur Police commandos were wounded in an ambush on Friday by suspected militants who exploded a bomb along the Trans Asian Highway, police said.
The injured personnel were evacuated to hospital in Imphal for treatment.
Additional police and paramilitary personnel were rushed to Kotha Lamkhai, where the explosion took place, to launch a combing operation. No one has been arrested yet.
Meanwhile, during security operations, police have arrested from Imphal East district one NSCN (IM) extremist and one from the KCP (Military Council).
