A Fred header earned Fluminense a 1-1 draw against their Rio de Janeiro rivals Flamengo in Brazil's Serie A football championship.
Fred rose above the defence to nod into the bottom corner from Dario Conca's looping free-kick into the area at the Maracana stadium Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Former Croatia international forward Eduardo da Silva had opened the scoring for Flamengo in the 27th minute when he toe-poked in after a scramble inside the six-yard box.
The result left Fluminense seventh in the standings with 36 points and Flamengo 11th, six points further back, after 23 matches.
Meanwhile, Fabio Santos scored twice and was sent off in Corinthians' 3-2 victory over Sao Paulo at the Itaquerao stadium.
In Belo Horizonte, Carlos Carvalho netted twice as Atletico Mineiro upset Cruzeiro 3-2 at the Mineirao stadium.
