With 24 nods, HBO's fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones" leads the list of nominees for the 67th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. It is also cited in the Outstanding Drama Series category.

Courtesy the adaptation of George R.R. Martin's story, HBO rules the nominations with 126 nods, becoming the top contender for two years in a row following last year's domination with 99, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"Game Of Thrones" is facing online streaming service Netflix's "House of Cards" and "Orange Is the New Black" for Outstanding Drama Series. Other contenders in the category are "Better Call Saul", "Mad Men", "Downton Abbey" and "Homeland".

Meanwhile, HBO's "Silicon Valley" and "Veep" are vying for Outstanding Comedy Series along with "Louie", "Modern Family", "Parks And Recreation", "Transparent" and "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star Andy Samberg will host the event live on Fox channel on September 20.
