Designer duo Gauri and Nainika rolled out a collection of extreme feminine cuts to the epic songs of Richard Gere and Julia Roberts starrer "Pretty Woman" on the Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Spring-Summer 2017's third day on Friday.
While the collection was all about ruffles, frills in pink and yellow, and even if the viewers found the designs repetitive, the cheerful music which struck a chord with the audience of the late 1980s and 1990s, ensured all ears and eyes were tuned to the ramp.
Sheer organza, tulle and weightless striped silk were some of the fabrics that the duo used to woo the fashion lovers.
Balloon sleeves, pouffed-up shoulders, high low leggy silhouettes, waist-clinching belts, harnesses in black and oxblood leather with gold metallic studs gave an edge to the otherwise soft clothing.
The 28th edition of the five-day AIFW concludes on Sunday.
