Gayle wreaks havoc on Pune Warriors

Bangalore, April 23 (IANS) Chris Gayle hit a record breaking unbeaten 175 off 66 balls as Royal Challengers Bangalore posted the highest Twenty20 score of 263 for five against Pune Warriors India in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the M. Chinaswamy stadium here Tuesday.

The West Indian opener smashed 17 sixes and 13 fours - 154 runs off boundaries - and shared an 167-run opening stand of 167 with Tillakaratne Dilshan.

Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the only Pune bowler to have a economy rate of under six while Luke Wright also bowled well picking up a wicket and giving away just 26 runs off his four overs.
