The elevation of Generation Next in the corporate ladder will transform the management styles and the ethos of successful companies, Jamie Notter, the co-founder of strategic corporate consultancy Culture That Works, told a human resource conference here.
"The rise of the 'Millennial Generation' into management positions will change the way that successful companies operate," Notter told a conference organised by the Society for Human Resource Management, a global association in the field.
The concluding event of the day-long conference Friday saw the participation of professionals and corporate leaders from more than 120 organizations, along with thought leaders from across the world.
The event also saw the launch of an integrated human resource executive certificate programme by the society, along with XLRI-Jamshedpur and Talentedge. The society also announced a listing of "Top 25 Indian HR Influencers on Social Media".
Also unveiled was a "Next-Generation Referral Hiring Technology Solution" from GrownOut.
The organisers said the executive programme will provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject and prepare the professionals for future leadership roles, while the listing will acknowledge the contribution of leading professionals on social media platform.
The new software tool will enable the personnel across all verticals to easily manage talent acquisitions.
Some of the contemporary subjects dealt with during the sessions included successfully creation of work spaces oriented towards social mobile technology and how the top management could meet the challenges, explained Achal Khanna, chief executive of the society's India operations
"While technology has always been considered as one of the tools of human resource domain, it is the first time such a platform has been created to brainstorm and minutely assess the impact of technology in ensuring a vibrant, competitive and productive workplace," Khanna said.
