The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday declined slightly and closed at 11,293.76 points.
After significant gains for two consecutive days, the blue-chip index lost 27.01 points, or 0.24 percent on Friday. It added 1.6 percent for the whole week, Xinhua news agency reported.
Infineon Technologies AG, a semiconductor producer, continued to rise. It climbed by 3.62 percent.
BMW AG St rose by 0.64 percent. Continental AG advanced by 0.62 percent. Daimler AG increased by 0.55 percent. Fresenius Medical Care AG & Co. went up by 0.5 percent.
The two utilities companies RWE AG St and E.ON SE topped the list of fallers, down by 3.42 percent and 2.5 percent respectively.
Deutsche Bank AG shrank by 0.97 percent. Commerzbank AG plunged by 0.96 percent and adidas AG went down by 0.94 percent.
The turnover stood at around $2.75 billion. Daimler AG was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 293.82 million euros.
