Ghosal enters Windy City Open squash quarters

India's top squash player Saurav Ghosal beat higher-ranked Tarek Momen of Egypt to enter the quarterfinals of the $115,000 PSA Windy City Open here.

World No.17 Ghosal got the better of his 12th-ranked opponent 11-9, 3-11, 11-4, 11-7 for his first major win of 2014 Friday. He faces another Egyptian and fourth seed Mohamed Elshorbagy in the last eight Saturday.

Dipika Pallikal, however, suffered a first round loss in the simultaneously held $50,000 WSA event. The World No.10 lost to fifth seed Low Wee Wern 5-11, 11-8, 7-11, 14-12, 6-11 in a tight battle lasting 80 minutes.
