Model Gigi Hadid has penned an emotional message of support for former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, who opened up to his fans about his struggles with anxiety.
Malik pulled out of a performance at Capital FM's Summertime Ball here due to what he described as "the worst anxiety of my career".
Hadid shared the note on her social media page on Sunday, praising the singer for his honesty, reports mirror.co.uk.
In the lengthy post, she wrote: "Z - I have seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans."
"Your bravery in those times makes me proud, but your honesty last night proved what you are all about, being real. Human recognises human. You made the best of the situation and have given your fans an opportunity to understand you better as a performer."
"Love you and so proud of you always."
On Saturday, fans waiting to watch Zayn perform at Wembley here were left bitterly disappointed as he pulled out at the last minute.
Malik took to Twitter to apologise to his fans and reveal the real reason why he was unable to head out on stage.
