Spain's Javier Gomez won his third ITU World Triathlon title beating arch rival Jonathan Brownlee of Britain in a sprint finish at the Grand Final here.
Gomez overtook London Olympic silver medallist Brownlee on the home straight and finished one second ahead Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee, Jonathan's elder brother, struggled with an ankle injury on the run and finished well behind.
Top-3:
1. Javier Gomez (Spain) 4,220 points
2. Jonathan Brownlee (Britain) 4,195
3. Mario Mola (Spain) 3,726.
