Former Director at Tata Sons Ltd R Gopal Gopalakrishnan is set to join IIT Kharagpur as a distinguished professor, the institute's director said on Sunday.
"Shri R Gopal Gopalakrishnan, Industry Doyen, Thought Leader, Best-Selling Author, Management Guru and most importantly Distinguished Alumnus accepts position of Distinguished Professor of IIT Kharagpur," IIT Kharagpur Director P.P. Chakrabarti said in a Facebook post.
"We look forward to his guidance. His presence will be a great source of inspiration to students and faculty," he added.
After completing his BSc Physics from St. Xaviers College Kolkata, Gopalakrishnan pursued electrical and electronics engineering from IIT Kharagpur (1964-1967).
