Finance Minister Arun Jaitley Tuesday said the NDA government is trying to restore investors' faith in the nation's economy.
"The government is trying that the investors' faith in the economy is re-established," Jaitley told reporters here.
Jaitley, who also has the additional charge of the defence ministry, was talking to reporters after a meeting with naval commanders.
"As far as finance is concerned, I would like to say it is a challenging time. It is challenging because in last two years, growth rate has slowed down, which has had a direct impact on revenue," he said.
The minister added that process of discussion with various stakeholders is on.
The comments come ahead of the newly elected National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government's first budget, scheduled to be presented in the Lok Sabha July 10.
