Gujarat's Madhwin Kamath has climbed to the top spot in the boys' U-16 latest national rankings announced by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) on Sunday.
Kamath leads the category with 642 points ahead of Rithvik Choudhary Bollipalli who has 625.25 points.
Madhwin Kamath has bagged medals in several AITA tournaments, including Super Series, National Series and Nationals and the National School Games where he clinched the team gold.
He was given the Sardar Patel award by the Gujarat government in 2015.
Kamath, a resident of Ahmedabad, was also the youngest tennis player to qualify for Men's 12 lakh held in March 2017 and trains at Shaishya Tennis Academy.
