Gun attacks took place at the headquarters of French newspaper Liberation and outside the suburban headquarters of the bank Societe Generale in Paris Monday with one person getting injured, local media reported.
The wounded person was shot in the chest before the gunman fled the newspaper office and is in critical condition, Xinhua reported citing French newspaper Le Figaro's website.
The second incident happened about 90 minutes later, but both attacks seemed to be carried out by the same gunman, local media quoted the police as saying. The motive of the attacker remained unknown.
Last Friday, a man armed with what appeared to be a gun broke into the headquarters of French television BFMTV in Paris, threatening journalists before escaping. It is not clear whether the two incidents were linked.
