A supervisor at a private school here committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan, and three members of the management board have been booked for abetment to suicide, police said Monday.

Bhupender Singh, Pramod and Suresh Kumar, all senior members of Pine Crest school management here in Sushant Lok area, have been booked under Sections 306 (abetment to suicide) and 34 (common intent) of the Indian Penal Code.

A case was registered on the complaint of Ram Babu, the younger brother of Rajan alias Rajendra, 32, who committed suicide May 31.

Rajendra's body was found hanging in his house allotted by school management.

Ram Babu in his complaint to police alleged that the trio were harassing his brother for the last few months.

"The school management even struck off the names of Rajendra's children (girl in Class 3 and boy in Class 1) from the school without any valid reason," he said in his complaint.

Rajendra hailed from Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh and was working in the school as a supervisor for over a decade.

"The victim was alone in the house when he committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan May 31 night," police officer Devi Dutt told IANS.

"We are investigating the case," he said.

No one has been arrested so far. No suicide note was found.
